San Francisco, CA – June 19, 2019 – In keeping with its culture of promoting from within, Clune Construction (Clune) is proud to announce three talented professionals in its San Francisco office have been promoted to executive-level positions.
Joe Carroll, Colin O’Connell and Wade Shidner received promotions in recognition of their significant contributions to Clune and the important role they play in the company’s future growth.
“Clune has been fortunate to continue to grow with a staff that has remained committed for the long term,” said Bill Abromitis, CEO of Clune Construction. “These individuals represent a group of Clune leadership that continue to make our company stronger for our clients and our employees.”
Joe Carroll has been promoted to Vice President, General Superintendent in San Francisco. He began his career as a carpenter and a union drywaller before transitioning to his career as a superintendent. Joe has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years, 18 of which have been as a superintendent. In addition, Joe spent five years in the Navy as an Operations Specialist, where he planned and conducted multiple warfare operations.
Colin O’Connell was promoted to Vice President, Project Executive. He has 17 years of experience in the construction industry, and works with all of a project’s teams to ensure overall project success. Colin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Management from Purdue University.
Wade Shidner was promoted to Vice President, Senior Superintendent. He has 27 years of experience overseeing many major tenant improvement project in the San Francisco Bay area. Prior to beginning his career in construction, Wade served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal.
“Each one of these individuals has proven they are leaders in the San Francisco market,” said Bob Dahlstrom, Clune’s Executive Managing Director, and President of the Western Region. “We look forward to seeing them continue to grow in their careers at Clune.”
Clune is proud of its culture of promoting from within. Several Managing Directors and Officers started with the company as interns and the average length of time a Managing Director has been with the firm is 17 years. Additionally, 20 percent of Clune’s employees have been with the company for more than 10 years. This culture has also contributed to Clune’s consistent placement nationally in numerous “Best Places to Work” rankings.
