Giving Back to the Communities that Support Clune Construction
Clune Construction has a culture of community participation and they continuously give back to many local charitable organizations. Clune Construction recently partnered with several veteran charities including The Battle Buddy Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a positive healing impact in the lives of injured veterans by providing service dogs, Boulder Crest Retreat, a rural sanctuary that helps military and veteran personnel recover and reconnect with their families after their service and Salute Inc., an organization dedicated to meeting the financial, physical and emotional needs of military service members, veterans and their families. The firm is also a proud supporter of charities that help those less fortunate such as StreetWise, provides Chicagoans facing homelessness with a combination of supportive social services, workforce development resources and immediate access to gainful employment, Bridge Communities, which provides free transitional housing to homeless families in Chicago’s DuPage County and the Samaritan House, a housing assistance program and safe harbor shelter, as well as, the Covenant House New York, a nonprofit organization that helps homeless kids escape the streets. These are among a few featured charities supported by Clune Construction.
Reflection of Company Values
Clune Construction recently presented a check for $100,000 to Gateway for Cancer Research, a national, nonprofit organization committed to funding innovative, cutting-edge, cancer research. Clune pledged $1 million to the organization in 2013, and has continued to provide an annual contribution to Gateway. “By partnering with Gateway, we know our contribution will be used towards making a bigger impact in advancing cancer research,” said Mike Clune, Chairman of Clune Construction. “These partnerships have been, and will continue to be, an integral part of our culture.”
