Replacement of 222 window openings (600 total windows) with a unitized curtainwall window system on a registered historic building. The existing cast iron head, sill, spandrals, and steel accents were painted to match the newly installed windows.
The windows were removed and replaced utilizing multiple mast climbing platforms. The platforms were used to provide access to the opening, remove the existing window, and hoist the new window to its opening. A beta hoist was installed on a horizontal rail system attached to the roof to assist in hoisting the window from the mast climbing platform to the opening.
All work was completed while building tenant spaces were occupied and conducting business.
