Build-out of a 3,900-square-foot food court in a busy international airport. The food court contains four different food service vendors and a full-service restaurant, dining area and commercial kitchen. This project involved working closely with the Health Department and involved the installation of a 3,000-gallon grease interceptor near the tarmac which involved coordination with the airport, tenant airline and subcontractors. The grease duct went up four stories to the rooftop through a rated exterior shaft. In addition, two air handler units were installed on the rooftop.
The food court also included the installation of two hoods and a walk-in cooler. High-end finishes were used throughout including water-proofed flooring to airport standards, stone countertops, high-end LED lighting and tile flooring throughout. A security gate and a large fire-curtain in the cook-line area were installed.
