The Clune Way
and Our Mission

In founding Clune Construction, it was my dream to build an environment that fosters and rewards everyone’s achievements and pride in all aspects of the company’s efforts. I felt that if the company could focus its attention on creating a unique bond with every employee-owner, they would create a positive client relationship based on our core values at every level in the company. I’m very proud of what we have accomplished together and I am excited to see what’s next.

SAFETY

Safety is a core value for us at Clune and we take every measure and precaution possible to ensure that everyone goes home at the end of the day exactly as they arrived. From each project’s kickoff meeting, our dedicated Safety Team immediately develops a safety plan. This ensures safety issues are addressed long before work even begins.

SERVICE

Giving Back

At Clune, we foster a culture that promotes giving back to the communities where we live and work. In addition to the contributions made to causes by the company, a large percentage of our employees are actively involved in a variety of charities nationwide.

Each year, Clune donates a portion of our profits to more than 100 charitable organizations and in 2023 to further our charitable efforts we established the Clune Cares Foundation, a 501 c(3) nonprofit organization.

RESPECT

Sharing appreciation and recognition for our staff emboldens employees at all levels to bring new, creative ideas to the table that provide positive social value.  Our internal teams continually look for ways to improve our environmental impact, ethical approach and personal relationships.

Environment: We believe that environmental sustainability is more important than ever and that we can influence our impact through our operational choices. We strive to make a difference not just on our jobsites but also in our offices and have structured our approach to environmental responsibility to address: commitment, support/operations, communication, evaluation, and improvement.  We are engaged with a third party to monitor and improve our impact in the office as well as in the field.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: We are fortunate to be composed of team members representing a variety of experiences, views, backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. We believe we have a responsibility to instill understanding and appreciation of that diversity into our everyday tasks and have prioritized the endeavor with a focus on communication, learning & development, recruiting/performance management, and supplier/trade partner engagement.

Ethics: We maintain a culture where ethical conduct is recognized, valued, and exemplified by all employees. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of business ethics and corporate conduct.

TEAMWORK

Every project takes a team to deliver and we value our relationships with architects, project managers, trade partners, clients and everyone who help bring projects to life.   We also have co-leadership and crossover in all of our departments and every regional office.  Varied perspectives make us better by challenging our opinions, keeping us curious and open.

EXCELLENCE

Throughout the past 20 years, Clune Construction has been a recipient of numerous awards, ranging from project-specific accolades to company-wide awards. This includes the US Best Managed Companies, Best Places to Work & Newsweek’s Most Loved Workplaces. Each time we receive these awards and accolades, we feel a special sense of pride because they prove that our corporate values are ingrained in everything we do, and that our employees are living the Clune Way every day.

INNOVATION

At Clune, we believe in continuous evolution and innovation, not just in the tools we use but in the way we think and run our business.  We invest in our people to stay current on new trends, to build their skills and honestly assess themselves and improve.  It is a mindset.  We think about the future and how we can make it better for our clients, our teams and our clients.  In addition to individual growth and improvement, we also think about the future of construction.  We have an in-house virtual construction group dedicated to reality capture and applying Building Information Modeling (BIM). We utilize Virtual Construction to elevate our field verifications, strive to make information easier to read, and keep information readily available for all project members to use. It also allows Clune’s team members to weed out unknown issues with existing conditions, produce final build visualizations for the owner, and increase open collaboration with all project stakeholders.
