Virtual Construction

A VIEW OF WHAT IS AND WHAT WILL BE

At Clune, we not only think about the future of construction – we invest in it. We were one of the first companies to assemble and pioneer an in-house Virtual Construction group dedicated to reality capture and applying Building Information Modeling (BIM). We utilize Virtual Construction to elevate our field verifications, strive to make information easier to read, and keep information readily available for all project members to use. It also allows Clune’s team members to weed out unknown issues with existing conditions, produce final build visualizations for the owner, and increase open collaboration with all project stakeholders.

BIM

This virtual view of “what will be” generated by pinpoint accurate 3D laser scanning technology, allows for the simulation of all phases of new construction, tenant fit outs, planning, development and implementation. Clune has invested heavily in internalizing our Virtual Construction/BIM processes so we can utilize it extensively in our projects. This technology also gives our clients the opportunity to virtually tour their space before the construction process begins.

Augmented & Virtual Reality

Clune is using AR/VR technology to overlay virtual construction information and objects over real-world spaces for a visual representation that can be viewed in the actual space the project will be built. Clune can also create virtual walkthroughs for project updates and photorealistic virtual walk-through documentation.

Pre-Construction

Clune advocates for a collaborative approach from the very beginning of the building process. Our pre-construction services are comprehensive, starting with a thorough review of client and architect needs and goals and the project’s requirements. Clune works closely with our partners to outline a preliminary project plan, covering scope, budget, schedule, and special considerations. Throughout the design period, we carefully analyze drawings for conformity and advise on material availability and constructability. We navigate the intricacies of government regulations, providing insights into cost impacts and suggesting alternatives while ensuring code and safety compliance.

Our commitment extends to proactive cost management, providing trade-by-trade cost estimates and regular updates during design development. Clune prepares preliminary construction schedules and conducts value engineering analyses to optimize costs and construction feasibility. Regular meetings ensure transparent communication, allowing us to explain cost determinations and address construction-related queries. Clune’s pre-construction phase sets the foundation for a successful, well-coordinated project, ensuring client satisfaction at every step.

Sustainable Design

Clune Construction embraces the movement to better the environments in which we all live and work. We are fully committed to the implementation of construction practices that conform to green building and health and well-being guidelines. Our staff includes LEED and WELL Accredited Professionals who help integrate these procedures. Clune has completed many projects that have received certifications from the US Green Building Council (LEED), Green Globes, and the International WELL Building Institute.

Design-Build

Clune is committed to bringing exceptional value to our clients by combining outstanding design and construction expertise backed by complete project accountability. Our commitment to excellence and integrity is essential. Clune’s design-build delivery method allows for collaborative problem-solving and innovation, recognizing that perspectives from the entire team can impact the project in its early stages. We are driven to exceed expectations, working as a unified team with a shared goal that empowers our client’s mission.

Service Work

NO MATTER THE PROJECT SIZE, WE ARE THERE

We believe that our relationships with our clients go far beyond the final stages of moving-in to their new space. Clune is able to accommodate clients through all of their construction needs – from full high-profile build-outs, to something as simple as changing a door handle. The main focus of Service Work is to take Clune’s approach, experience, and knowledge of interior construction and apply it to smaller scale build-outs, add-ons, and changes within a client’s existing/occupied space.
