Clune Construction Continues Culture of Promoting from Within and Announces Promotions in Chicago

Chicago, IL – July 7, 2020 – In keeping with its culture of promoting from within, Clune Construction (Clune) is proud to announce the promotion of five of its talented professionals in its Chicago office to officer-level positions.

Jay Bradarich, Andy Holub, Mike Symons, Mike Themanson, and James “Woody” Woodley received promotions in recognition of their significant contributions to Clune and the important role they play in the company’s future growth.

“Throughout their tenure at Clune, all of these individuals have proven themselves to be leaders and mentors who will continue to make our company stronger for our clients and our employees,” said Bill Abromitis, CEO of Clune Construction.

Jay Bradarich

Jay Bradarich was promoted to Vice President, Senior Project Manager. He has 11 years of experience in the construction industry managing many high-profile interior build-outs. He has helped expand Clune’s airport construction capabilities in the Chicago area, and has become a trusted and respected leader in and around these complex projects. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology and Construction Management from Illinois State University.

Andy Holub

Andy Holub was named Vice President, Pre-Construction/Special Services. With 23-years of experience in the construction industry, Andy is responsible for all aspects of the pre-construction process. He also oversees the Clune Self-Perform Group and since joining Clune, has made it one of the most respected in Chicago. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois and holds an OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

Mike Symons

Mike Symons was promoted to Vice President, Senior Superintendent. He has 34 years of experience in the construction industry, overseeing many major construction projects in various parts of the U.S. Mike is one of Clune’s most respected field leaders, known for his forward-thinking, client-focused approach to leading projects. In addition to his construction experience, Mike spent 10 years as a firefighter with the Batavia Fire Department.

Mike Themanson

Mike Themanson was promoted to Vice President, Safety at Clune Construction. He has over 20 years of construction safety experience, conducting audits and inspections to ensure OSHA compliance. Mike has played a major role in developing Clune’s safety program.  He also is responsible for ensuring project safety nationally and leads Clune Construction’s safety team. Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Illinois State. He is also a certified CHST, CRIS, and an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer.

James Woodley

James “Woody” Woodley has been promoted to Vice President, Senior Superintendent at Clune Construction. With 26-years of construction industry experience, Woody is known for his technical expertise, overseeing field employees for many of Clune’s Mission Critical projects throughout the Midwest, Dallas and the East Coast. Woody earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Virginia Tech. He also holds an OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

Clune is proud of its culture of promoting from within. Several Managing Directors and Officers started with the company as interns and the average tenure of a Managing Director is 17 years. Additionally, 20 percent of Clune’s employees have been with the company for more than 10 years. This culture has also contributed to Clune’s consistent placement nationally in numerous “Best Places to Work” rankings.
