Clune Construction Continues Culture of Promoting from Within As Six Are Promoted in Chicago

Chicago, IL – May 28th, 2024 – Clune Construction (Clune) is thrilled to uphold its long-standing commitment of promoting from within by announcing the promotion of six exceptional leaders in its Chicago office to executive-level positions.

Erica Cox, Matt Delehanty, Tom Eberhardt, Joe Klippel, Kevin McIsaac and Peter O’Toole were promoted in recognition of their significant contributions to Clune and their crucial roles in the company’s expansion.

“Each of these individuals has consistently exemplified the essential qualities for leading Clune forward,” said Dave Hall, CEO of Clune Construction. “Their dedication to delivering excellence to our clients has been exemplary. I am proud to watch them continue to advance within the company.”

Erica Cox has been promoted to Vice President. During her tenure, she served in various roles within Clune’s Human Resources department and now oversees the administration of the company’s compensation and benefits. One of Cox’s significant achievements is enhancing Clune’s benefits to evolving industry standards and ensuring they are best-in-class. She takes pride in expanding offerings based on employee feedback, reflecting Clune’s commitment to employee satisfaction.

Matt Delehanty has been promoted to Vice President. He joined Clune in 2011 as an Assistant Project Manager, initially managing the firm’s smaller tenant improvements before taking on larger endeavors. Recognized for his reliability and transparent communication, Delehanty emphasizes the importance of building strong client relationships. This emphasis has enabled him to obtain many repeat clients at the firm throughout his tenure. Delehanty holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Bradley University.

Tom Eberhardt has been promoted to Senior Vice President. With over 35 years of experience in the financial industry, he joined Clune as Vice President, Finance in 2020. Eberhardt has played a pivotal role in leading and educating Clune’s employees on the importance of the firm’s finances. During his tenure, he has leveraged his skills for developing strong relationships and has spearheaded a new financial program in collaboration with Clune’s banking partners to safeguard and optimize Clune’s assets. In 2023, he helped establish the Clune Cares Foundation, and now serves on the Board as its Treasurer.

Joe Klippel has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Klippel has spent most of his 20-year career managing projects at Clune. His resume includes some of Clune’s most challenging tenant improvement projects, including the recent 27-floor buildout in Chicago’s Salesforce Tower. Klippel’s commitment to team growth and transparent client relationships defines his impactful career at Clune, setting a standard for success in the industry.

Kevin McIsaac has been promoted to Vice President. A United States Navy Veteran, McIsaac joined Clune in 2017 as a Senior Project Accountant. Throughout his tenure, he has helped develop a new process for assigning project accountants to designated departments and implemented operational procedures to streamline Clune’s workflow. McIsaac holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Carthage College and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University.

Peter O’Toole was promoted to Vice President. He joined Clune in 2012 as an Assistant Project Manager, focusing on the firm’s tenant improvement projects. O’Toole’s success can be attributed to his transparent communication with team members and stakeholders through every step of a project. O’Toole earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Illinois State University. He regularly volunteers at the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

“It’s been inspiring to watch these individuals grow into themselves and their roles here at Clune,” said Vince Gutekanst, Clune’s President of the Midwest Region. “I want to take this time to congratulate them on their well-deserved promotions.”

Clune is proud of its culture of promoting from within. Many officers started with the company as interns. The average tenure of a Managing Director is 17 years and 20 percent of Clune’s employees have been with the company for over 10 years.
