This three-floor transformation for Neal Gerber Eisenberg (NGE) spans floors 27 through 29 of The Bell at 225 West Randolph, creating Chicago’s first LEED Platinum-certified law office and positioning the firm as the city’s first zero-carbon law firm. Designed with a hospitality-first approach, the new workplace balances professional sophistication with warmth, featuring restorative amenities such as a speakeasy-inspired lounge, fireplace and a cafe known as “The Club,” offering a variety of seating to support both individual focus and collaboration.
The light-filled space promotes in-person teamwork in the hybrid work era, with glass-front offices of uniform size, collaboration zones at every corner and conference rooms equipped with advanced audiovisual technology. A custom internal stair connects all three floors, strengthening interaction among attorneys, staff and clients. Sustainable finishes, locally sourced artwork and plantings honor the firm’s Chicago roots.
