The data center construction revolution shows no signs of slowing down as the age of artificial intelligence ushers in even greater demand for computing power. The latest projections show that Arizona’s current data center capacity is expected to double due to the number of data center projects on the books. The Business Journal spoke to top executives with Clune Construction and Wolverine Builders Commercial Construction to see where the industry is headed next.

Adam Wojack (Clune Construction): Phoenix still has significant runway for growth. The fundamentals that brought the industry there in the first place remain strong: land availability, relatively predictable permitting, strong fiber connectivity and proximity to major West Coast markets without the same seismic risk or coastal constraints.
